Every year over 400 children in Ontario are diagnosed
with cancer. Going to camp can seem like a
remote possibility for children living with
cancer. Camp Trillium was established in
1984 with this purpose in mind: to provide a
camp environment for children affected by
cancer and their families where they can
relax and enjoy life again.
Camp Trillium offers a variety of summer and year round
programs for children and their families.
These programs provide much needed
recreational activities and support. Campers
gain strength and confidence to help them
with their fight against cancer.
What do we want most for our campers?
Camp Trillium wants to give campers a camping
experience where they can try new
activities, make friends, have fun, and be
able to laugh again. We want to show them
that they are not alone and the friendships
they form at camp will last a lifetime.
Our positive and supportive environment embraces the
entire family. Siblings, children off
treatment and families who have lost a child
to cancer are welcome at camp. Campers
return year after year to rekindle the
friendships with other families across the
province.
You can help Children!
You can send one child to camp for a week for $525. You
will be providing an opportunity for a child
to experience the Camp Trillium spirit in
action with times of laughter, joy and fun.
With your generous support our families are
able to enjoy the Camp Trillium experience
without the burden of costs.
The Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Ontario provided the
first grant to Camp Trillium in 1984 and
they continue to be major supporters. The
Canadian Cancer Society - Ontario Division
continues to be our largest donor.
Camp Trillium does not receive government funding. We
need your support to have an impact on
children living with cancer and their
families. Your support can come in a variety
of forms including direct donations of
funds, equipment, or volunteering your time.
